Learning Rooted in the Arts for Homeschooling Families

Secular & standards-based.

Lessons and resources are developed to meet National Core Arts standards and support learning in other subjects.

The arts are vital

The arts are central to heritage and history. Art possesses a remarkable capacity to transcend barriers, evoke emotions, and challenge perceptions.

Cultural capital is essential

Our resources are developed to dive deeply into the cultural and artistic contributions Black creatives have made to the richness of society.

Grow their cultural knowledge

Each creative activity is an opportunity for learners to embrace a new challenge. Through project-based learning, students are more likely to remain engaged and to build upon their creative problem-solving skills.

Activities you work on together

The African proverb “It takes a village to raise a child” recognizes the family as the first place children learn. Through shared experiences and sharing stories, children learn who they are, and who they are in the world.  Our activities encourage everyone, regardless of generation, to equally contribute to children’s growth and development. Activities are designed to encourage learning together and support intergenerational discovery.
